The di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art is presenting “Betty and Clayton Bailey,” an exhibition showcasing the art of the husband-and-wife duo from June 7 to Sept. 7.
The di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art will present “Betty and Clayton Bailey,” an exhibition showcasing the art of the husband-and-wife duo, at its downtown satellite gallery in Napa. The exhibition will run from June 7 to Sept. 7.
Clayton Bailey, known for his contributions to the California Clay movement and his fantastical ceramic sculptures of monsters and creatures, will have his work displayed alongside the works of his wife, Betty Bailey. Betty Bailey is a prolific artist whose work spans ceramics and drawings.
The exhibition aims to explore themes of art, fame, and domestic partnership through the works of both artists. Clayton Bailey worked from his home studio in Port Costa, while Betty Bailey created art in various mediums.
di Rosa Downtown, a temporary gallery space for the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, features rotating exhibitions from the di Rosa collection and works by artists in Northern California.
The gallery is at 1300 First Street, Suite 251, Napa, and will be open to the public noon to 4 p.m. Friday through Sunday. Admission is free. The exhibition is presented in partnership with First Street Napa and Zapolski Real Estate LLC.
