Hidden Gem by Behr
Behr
After years and years of neutral paint colors, we have been itching to add some color to our homes—and Behr is here to help with their 2026 Color of the Year, Hidden Gem.
A beautiful green-blue, Hidden Gem makes a pretty bold statement in your home, but in a way that still feels doable and approachable.
And Behr’s pick is a direct reflection of what they say is the desire to bring more color into our homes. Anna Miller, The Home Depot’s Director of Trend & Design, told us that greens are a great way to do that because of their connection to nature.
“We are all constantly inspired by nature—you just can’t go wrong,” Miller said. “Harkening back to the palette of greens makes you feel confident that you’re going to love it every time.”
Whether you use it to color-drench a room, or simply as an accent to an otherwise toned-down palette, Hidden Gem is one of our favorite picks so far.
Warm Eucalyptus by Valspar
Valspar
Green is continuing to have its moment in interior design, though Valspar’s 2026 Color of the Year is a slightly cooler, earthier green.
Warm Eucalyptus feels comforting and serene, adding some color to a space without making a big statement. There’s almost a spa-like quality to it, and while we love it used in a cozy bathroom, it’s also just as at-home in a kitchen, bedroom, or living room—or even your home’s exterior.
“Warm Eucalyptus is an incredibly adaptable hue that can serve as a statement or a subtle anchor,” Sue Kim, Valspar’s Director of Color Marketing, told The Spruce.
Melodious Ivory by Dutch Boy Paints
Dutch Boy Paints
If you’re still interested in embracing neutrals, Dutch Boy Paints’ 2026 pick, Melodious Ivory, is for you.
But this isn’t your typical farmhouse-style white hue. According to the press release, it’s a creamy-beige tone that “transcends trends.”
“Our 2026 Color of the Year invites homeowners to embrace what matters most—comfort, quality and connection,” said Dutch Boy Paints’ Color Marketing Manager, Lisbeth Parada, in the press release.
“Melodious Ivory offers a classic backdrop that beautifully supports the textures, elements and personal touches that make a space truly feel like home.”
